Kona Honu Divers - Hawaii Scuba Diving Travel and Accommodations

The Kona Coast of the Big Island offers visitors a tremendous variety of experiences. Glenn and Maggie Anderson and their staff at Hawaii Scuba Diving and Whale Watching Tours provides activities for the most experienced scuba divers to the novice snorkeler.

Our vessel is equipped with new Luxfer NB80 neutrally buoyant tanks, camera tables and rinse tubs, DAN oxygen safety equipment, soft weights and weight belts. The upper and lower decks provide the guests with space for organizing their equipment, enjoying the magnificent Kona coastline and whale watching. The crew, vessel, gear, and Hawaiian hospitality make this a unique experience.

Location
Honokohau Harbor, five mile south of the airport on Queen Kaahumanu Highway (Highway 19). We are three miles north of Kailua-town and a twenty minute drive from the big hotels on the Gold Coast of South Kohala.

Scuba Diving 2 Tank AM Dive
Hawaii Scuba Diving and Whale Watching Tours offers the diver a wide variety of activities so that the entire family, dive club, or individual can enjoy while experiencing Hawaiian hospitality and culture. Check in time begins at 7:45 a.m. and the boat departs the slip at 8:15 a.m. We will dive at two different dive sites and be back to the harbor at approximately 12:30 p.m. Dive guides/instructors will give a briefing before each dive and guide you on a memorable experience showing you some of the creatures that are endemic to our Hawaiian Islands. During the surface interval you will have a complementary snack and juice while discussing sights that you had seen on the previous dive. There are more than 50 different dive sites that we frequent so that the reef is not ecologically disturbed. If other members of your family or group do not dive, they may want to experience SNORKELING or ride along aboard the vessel.

Scuba Diving 3 Tank Long Range Dive Trip
This is an 8-hour day on the water for the serious advanced diver or dive club that wants to experience pristine diving. Check in is at 7:00 a.m. and we will return at approximately 2:30 p.m.

A minimum of 8 divers will be needed to make this advanced dive happen. We will go 20 miles north or south and make our way back to the harbor. Between dives, a snack and lunch will be complementing your awesome dives. Many times, whales and dolphins will be sighted off the bow of Honu One on this long-range adventure.

Snorkeling
This activity can involve most anyone who wants to keep on the surface watching the activity below. This includes night dives. Snorkelers frequently see fish, dolphins, octopus, crabs and lobsters, and manta rays, especially at night.
